[Caregiver Update] Sip, Savor and Celebrate!

Reader, let’s make a difference

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
—Psalm 34:8 (NIV)

Our Mission is to encourage and equip Caregivers through faith & community, rekindle human value, and ignite HOPE

Joy Maker—Tea Tasting Event

We had so much fun at our tea tasting event! The caregivers loved learning, laughing, and savoring delicious teas. It’s vitally important for caregivers to get away, connect with people who understand their situation, and simply HAVE FUN.

The fourteen participants shared stories, offered words of encouragement, and created new friendships. Due to the generosity of our sponsors, we gifted each attendee a $15 gift certificate towards the purchase of their favorite tea and a loose tea infuser so they can continue enjoying the taste and health benefits of a high-quality tea

Why These Social Experiences Matter

Social events are crucial for caregivers. They provide a much-needed respite from the demanding and often stressful caregiving responsibilities that can become all consuming. Engaging in such activities with friends who understand reduces stress, improves mental health and fosters a sense of community.

We believe that supporting caregivers is just as important as caring for loved ones and these experiences offer a perfect way to do just that. Have a great idea for a social event or want to sponsor our next event? Join our team of Joy Makers and send me an email at susan@makersofcare.com.

🎂 It’s our birthday! 🥳

May 11th was our anniversary!

We can’t believe it!!! We began as a grassroots organization with a passion for bringing awareness and support to isolated, overwhelmed, and worn-out family caregivers.

Our mission is to walk alongside them, helping navigate the complex world of caregiving and teaching them what they need to know before they need to know it. It hasn't been easy, but we have persevered, and caregivers continually tell us that our ministry is vital to their well-being.

Isn't it reassuring to have an organization you can rely on to support your loved ones in their caregiving journey?

Referrals are pouring in, and we need your help to meet the growing demand. We rely on the generosity of individuals, faith communities, and organizations to keep offering valuable resources and programs to caregivers.

By becoming a monthly donor—a Gift Maker—you become the backbone of our ministry, enabling us to budget and grow and be there when you need us.

Every contribution, no matter the size, is crucial. Whether you can give $10 a month or more, every dollar sustains our vital work. You can join our Gift Makers by clicking here.

Your consistent support as a monthly donor helps us provide ongoing resources and respite for caregivers in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who give so much of themselves. Join us today in supporting this important mission.

NEW Support Groups

As we celebrate our third year of ministry, we are starting 4 new support groups:

  • SanTan Valley/Queen Creek women’s group

My eyes are filled with grateful tears as I type this. Makers of Carewith God’s blessing and guidance—is meeting needs throughout our communities and we could not do this work without the generous and sacrificial support of our prayer partners and donors.

The impact of your prayers and donations echo into eternity!

We see you, we hear you, we care.

Dear Reader, We launched our blog and have curated a group of writers to bless you with their stories about resilience and faith. Enjoy! I remember the night that my prayer for my mom changed from pleading for her healing to pleading for comfort and an easy death. My optimism could no longer create a convincing alternative reality to shelter in. She would not get better. My story is not unique. Caregivers of all kinds can relate to this moment: the moment a spouse loses the ability to speak,...

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?—Isaiah 43:19 Dear Friends, As I write this, I’m eagerly awaiting the birth of my daughter’s twins tomorrow.
